Albanian revolt of 1847 → Zenel Gjoleka rebellion — The event is known in bibliography as such: [[1]][[2]][[3]][[4]][[5]]. I've searched everywhere but seems there is not a single book talking about 'Albanian revolt of 1847' Alexikoua (talk) 20:31, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: It's a good descriptive title and the revolts were actually led not only by Gjoleka but by three local leaders: Gjoleka, Rrapo Hekali, Hodo Nivica. You can't base a title based on google search for pure Albanian history. Zenel Gjoleka went to Greece and the Greek press at that time reported him, so those sources that you have are mostly based on primary Greek sources. However the current title is the best descriptive title for the above reasons. Otherwise we should just call it Albanian Great Peasant Uprisings, like the Albanian historiography has called it, but not Gjoleka rebellion, because again he was just one of the leaders. --Sulmues ^(talk) 04:11, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment in Albanian history this event is refereed as a part of Albanian Anti-Ottoman uprisings of 19th century (including prior local uprisings such as that of North Albania in 1844-45 etc) but the most used name for this specific event was Great Peasant Uprising. In fact the absence of beys and the rise of common villagers as leaders served to communist historians to classify it as a war between the poor class and the rich class. God Sulmues you are again extreme oring: 1. talking that the entire accessible bibliography is subject to Greek conspiracy scenarios (sources that you have are mostly based on primary Greek sources.) 2. claiming that a specific Albanian source (no wonder no link given) is enough (the Albanian historiography has called it).
