Is this the place where Dolcetto d'Alba wine is produced? Badagnani 02:28, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the hills around here, yes. Basically the Langhe, I think. And a bit of Roero? Anyway, here’s an official map of the production zone: http://www.regione.piemonte.it/agri/ita/piemontedoc/vino/vini/cartine/dolcalba.htm —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ian Spackman (talkcontribs) 11:57, 16 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Roman sites vs. Roman towns and cities[edit]

I see that Alba is in the category Roman sites in Piedmont, a sub-category of Roman sites in Italy. Acqui Terme, on the other hand, is in the category Roman towns and cities in Italy. My understanding is that Roman towns and cities in Italy is for modern towns and cities that are built upon Roman ones; Roman sites in Italy is for Roman remains that are not the basis of modern towns and cities. As an aside: looking at the list of sites in each category, it seems that if the Roman site is in a suburb of the modern town or city, Roman sites in Italy applies. This all seems pretty logical. On this basis, I propose to remove Alba, Italy from the category Roman sites in Italy and put it in Roman towns and cities in Italy. Does anyone have objections to this?
