"Second" Verse[edit]

I removed the links and background about the second verse. I realize it has been debated over the years, but my feelings are until it's an official part of the song, the verse is not of an encyclopedic quality. —akghetto talk 22:25, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because of copyright restrictions, the second verse is not shown here. Instead, a link to they lyrics and to more detailed information on it is provided at the bottom of the page. Rhall28 (talk) 21:20, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Audio File[edit]

The article could be improved by inserting the song's music into the article. Sonic120 (talk) 03:35, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Predecessor[edit]

I dunno if this would belong in this article, or in another article. There was another "official" Alaska song prior to this. It was written by a high school girl in Juneau named Mountain Snow (born ca. 1885) around the turn of the 20th century, was sung to the tune of Maryland, My Maryland, and was adopted as "official" by the Pioneers of Alaska, not by any governmental entity. I could come up with references if necessary, but since they're all from books published in the 1940s or 1950s, it may not do any good to the vast majority of readers. Let me know if you think it could help, though.RadioKAOS (talk) 21:34, 3 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Flag picture[edit]

The flag picture used in the article is a severely distorted version of the actual flag. In particular, the "pointer" stars do not really point to the North Star. The small picture at the top of this page is much more accurate. I don't know how to make a change; would someone who does please do it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.53.195.38 (talk) 16:02, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
