Untitled[edit]

It seems that a Wikipedia user has called into question the neutrality of this article. I wrote this page and do not find anything biased within it; of course, as its author, I am partial and may be blind to the page's impartiality. If so, I would very much appreciate it if the user who has called the neutrality of this page into question to elaborate upon his or her decision to do so. The only thing I can find that may seem impartial is the word "preeminent," although I feel fairly certain that anyone familiar with Heiss would consider it quite safe to consider her role in the alternative art movement as such. Please tell me what you think.Artonair (talk) 16:01, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I should add: I am an unpaid intern for AIR. I chose the name Artonair so as to not disguise this, but I can assure you that this was not done out of any subversive desires: I was not told to do this by anyone who actually works at AIR, but chose to do so on my own time. And the AIR part of the page is the smallest. I just find Heiss to be an interesting person and found the lack of any bio page for her - although the P.S.1 page, written years ago and not by me, does have a fairly long bio of her - surprising. If people think that she is not worthy of having her own page, I would very much appreciate contributions to this discussion page. However, seeing how much she has contributed to the art community and considering her past as both a prominent founder of and contributor to the alternative art space movement, as well as the founder and director of P.S.1, I think few would actually think so. But, if you do, please express so here! I'm eager to get this worrisome banner taken off the top of the page, so I would very much appreciate a conversation that may lead to its removal or at the very least a clarification of everyone's motives. If you have further queries as to mine, please feel free to ask. Thanks!Artonair (talk) 16:34, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page deletion[edit]

After speaking to several Administrators, the COI tag, to which most of my comments below refer, was removed; I'm now wondering if this talk page, no longer relevant to the page's appearance and potentially mystifying to those who no longer see any COI tag, as it has been removed, could be deleted. However, perhaps this may serve some "historical" function: that the history of this page included this discussion and therefore it should be kept. But since I'm the only one who contributed to this page - before changing my username to 1le0nny8 - and the COI tag was removed as a result of discussion elsewhere, I was just hoping that these comments could be deleted, or, if this seems unwarranted, perhaps that an explanation for the removal of the COI tag could be explained to potential readers. Thanks! 1le0nny8 (talk) 14:32, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion pages are normally not deleted unless there's a compelling reason; mainly, they are deleted only when the article is deleted. In rare cases, a page may have some of its revisions deleted because they revealed personal information. But this is not the kind of page that gets deleted. Great; thanks for the info! 1le0nny8 (talk) 16:28, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
