Red hair[edit]

His bright red hair is often mocked, and he's taken to plugging an apparent non-existent website "kalterworld.net". AnonMoos 12:42, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's ginger. Lycurgus (talk) 16:53, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube Clips[edit]

The following two YouTube clips were posted by CBS. Would linking to them in this article be appropriate?

  • Alan Kalter's Celebrity Interview with George Clooney [1]
  • Alan Kalter's Message To Britney Spears [2]

If they're posted by CBS that means no copyright infrigement, so yes. We won't want a billion of them, but I added those two. I'm too lazy to search the profile, did CBS post any with Kalter singing pop songs? --TheTruthiness 05:56, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
the official CBS user, http://www.youtube.com/user/CBS , search for "Alan Kalter" and you'll find lots of them.
In regards to Kalter singing pop songs, it doesn't appear that CBS posted any, which is a shame since they're hilarious. Rmannion 06:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is another announcer[edit]

Kalter "announces the guests at the top of each show and the one-liner during the Worldwide Pants title card after the credits"?

No. That one-liner is done by someone else (who you also hear on other pre-taped bits). Can anyone provide that guy's name? Atario (talk) 06:07, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cryptic Closing Comment[edit]

I've observed since roughly '00 that he makes a cryptic comment in the final frames of the show after the credits. For example, last night it was "Beat it wiki". What's that all about? Lycurgus (talk) 16:53, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sometimes it's a commentary on the Worldwide Pants logo, but he may have run out of things to say about pants a while back... AnonMoos (talk) 17:01, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just noticed the § above, and yes that's right, there's a harried older guy that does some voice overs, and I think he does/has done what we're talking about. 72.228.150.44 (talk) 00:31, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course the voice actor is irrelevant, the question is what message(s) are Letterman or his writers attempting with this, if any. 72.228.150.44 (talk) 09:13, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
