More cleanup is needed[edit]

While I appreciate the effort to clean up this article, more work is needed. Copyright problems have not been addressed. In addition, I am concerned by the use of sources that do not meet WP:RS, such as Press TV, Fars News, and Electronic Intifada. The second paragraph of the lede section contains two sentences where the first clause of the sentence is the same, but the second is different. The article needs to be very carefully checked for POV issues and sourcing and it needs additional copy editing.GabrielF (talk) 00:51, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@GabrielF: The Fars News and Press TV are reliable source and these are important news agency. How can edit the article?Charm4Fasl (talk) 07:20, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Charm4Fasl:. Press TV and Fars News absolutely do not meet WP:RS. They can be used in a very careful, limited way as a source for quotes for what people said (and they should always be attributed) but they cannot be used as a source for facts. See [1]. GabrielF (talk) 13:01, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@GabrielF:I found another references in the article and these sentences was quoted with another sources such as Daily star.Charm4Fasl (talk) 15:49, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @GabrielF:! I'd like to refer you to this discussion about Iranian media. I wonder how you firmly say that they "absolutely do not meet WP:RS"! Mhhossein (talk) 18:39, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Mhhossein: Nothing in the linked discussion leads me to believe that there is a consensus that Fars News and Press TV meet WP:RS.GabrielF (talk) 20:37, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
dear @GabrielF:, I aimed to tell you that there's "no consensus" that those sources don't meet the requirements so one should be careful and precise when judging them. Mhhossein (talk) 08:06, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@GabrielF:I Know Ahmad Motevaselian and I like work about him. I want help for searching new source for the article. How can I help?Soltan67 (talk) 05:37, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You can write a temporary article following instructions on the copyright infringement notice. Otherwise you can wait for the copyright issues to be dealt with.GabrielF (talk) 05:58, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem removed[edit]

Prior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. The material was copied from: http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/07/05/312355/iranian-diplomats-alive-in-israeli-jail/. Copied or closely paraphrased material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, and according to fair use may copy sentences and phrases, provided they are included in quotation marks and referenced properly. The material may also be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Therefore such paraphrased portions must provide their source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:25, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have also removed a lengthy quotation that was used non-transformatively. As our non-free content policy and guideline explain, we need to have good reasons to use quotation marks. We can't use quotes just because we want to communicate the same information. In that case, we should put the information into our own words. I did a spot-check of the rest of the article and found no other problems. If other problems are found, please remove the content. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:25, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
