Ramey Air Force Base

Ramey Air Force Base has been closed for an extended period of time, but the Coast Guard makes it's home the. It is now called USCG Air Station Borinquen. The web site is as follows, http://www.uscg.mil/d7/units/as-borinquen/index.htm. But it is not used strictly by the Coast Guard, all the US Services still use the "defunct" air base in one way or another. 68.45.67.173 20:20, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Factual errors

I made extensive changes due to numerous factual errors. Here is what I remember changing:

  1. Aguadilla's most famous feature is its beaches yet they were barely mentioned and the fact that they are home to surfing world championships was not even brought up. I corrected that.
  2. Ramey Air Force Base has been closed for over 30 years yet according to this article it was still there!
  3. Rafael Hernandez airport is not adjacent to the base, it is what used to be the base's runway.
  4. The Pirate Cofresi was not from Aguadilla, he was from Cabo Rojo.
  5. Jose de Diego, Aguadilla's most illustrious child was completely left out.
  6. Aguadilla has changed a lot since its fishing days, but according to this article it was still a small town.
  7. I deleted useless and highly volatile information on specific airlines that use the airport, it was simply unnecessary in this article.

About Ramey Air Force base, most people in Aguadilla still refer to the area as the Ramey Base. The base has closed but its facilities are still in operations for different uses, like the ariport you mentioned above, a Head Start center, a gold course, a school, etc., and the "aguadillanos" still call it La Base Ramey. Contribution

I would like to use the following format to expand the municipalies of Puerto Rico. I want the Puerto Rico Portal to look great and enjoy by many. Please review Adjuntas, Aguada, Aguadilla, Mayaguez and Utuado.

The areas that are missing information can be updated on future edits. Once all 78 municipalities are complete, maybe have a final cleanup to remove sections. What say all.

By having a standard - Viewers can go directly to the section they want with eaze.

Many of the municipalites have very little or no info - Let me know because this work is time consuming and I am trying to help when I find time.

Since I do not have an account it would be nice if someone would add the municipalities Flags and Seals (gifs)on the infobox and images to the gallery section on the municipalities which are missing them.

Unspecified source for Image:Aguadilla Map.jpg

I found Image:Aguadilla Map.jpg and noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Someone will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If it was obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If there are other files on this page, consider checking that they have specified their source and are tagged properly, too. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Fair use rationale for Image:Aguadilla Map.jpg

Image:Aguadilla Map.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 02:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
