Tense in article[edit]

Resistance to?[edit]

"In 1958 she was working as a typist for an insurance company, and had a boyfriend. Her insistence on intercourse and marriage led to a series of quarrels, and she disclosed her details to him."

Since this makes no sense, how does it need to be revised? What are the facts? I assume it needs to say either "His insistence" or "Her resistence". I will check article history. Maybe this is a case of entropy. Tom Haws (talk) 22:25, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Torres?[edit]

I just went through and updated all "Agnes" (except in the quote) to "Torres" per MOS:SURNAME—but where did this "Torres" name come from? Khssharma (talk · contribs) appears to have created the article as "Agnes Torres" but no source I've seen so far has mentioned a last name at all. Speaking of sources, the article badly needs them. I didn't read through the entire Garfinkel chapter but that's probably the source for a lot of it; the lead mentions a "modern case study" but does not provide a citation, which would be helpful. Garfinkel mentions Stroller's earlier article, which I put in the "Further reading" section:

I read the whole Garfinkel chapter, which only ever refers to her as Agnes, without a last name. Presumably that "modern" case study is the one where Stoller retracted his findings after talking to her again. I think the article title should probably be changed to just "Agnes", with some sort of parenthetical to provide context.

I wonder if the original article creator could have mixed her up with the Mexican trans activist Agnés Torres Hernández? Sleater-Kinsey Scale (talk) 12:00, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
