Comments[edit]

I'm not sure how to revise this article properly, but it has been vandalized. Hopefully posting here will get someone's attention.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.82.84.74 (talkcontribs)

I removed "unbeautiful" remarks about Circe (she is beautiful in some texts) and added other conjectures on the location of Aeaea.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.159.155.220 (talkcontribs)

The last paragraph has a sentence fragment. "ea, the country where her father Aeëtes ruled" Petereck (talk) 02:12, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have been reading it, but i am as yet too ignorant of Greek Mythology to recognise any vandalism.

But Interestingly,

Aeaea similar to aeae

Hawaiian for a type of volcanic lava.

Certainly ancient Greeks didn't sail so far as Hawaii ?!

I've added a basic reference from the Ancient sources for Aeaea, linking it to the Perseus online edition. Someone may want to improve the formatting? Aeaea is also mentioned in Plutarch, Fragment 200, Loeb edition of PLutarch's Moralia Vol.XV (trans. F.H. Sandbach 1969). If someone wants to add it. Hope this helps.
