Practopoiesis

I have removed as WP:SPAM a long, probably WP:UNDUE, section on this topic, cited to a single source by Danko Nikolić, and added by User:Dankonikolic, in clear breach of WP:COI. I have had a search and am not convinced the topic is notable. If it is, it should have its own article, and it can fight its corner at WP:AfD. If it gets its own article with multiple reliable sources, then it would be sensible to summarize it here with a "main article" link and a brief paragraph. Until then, I don't think we should have it here at all, given the lack of independent sourcing. If such sources can be found, the case will be different, of course. I agree (as I have said) that it would be better for this subject to have its own article. For reasons that are not that clear to me, if you try going to practopoiesis you get diverted to this article instead.
But I am familiar with the history of that page and know that it was deleted once because it was regarded as self-promotion. I agree that there's a WP:COI here, but the guidelines only say that editing thus is discouraged, it doesn't say it can't happen. So I think we should consider notability. To this end, I looked up in Google Scholar the reference that was there earlier (Practopoiesis: Or how life fosters a mind), and found that it has been cited a number of times by authors other than Nikolić, in ways that (to the extent that I have access to the references) appear to suggest that the paper has some value in the context of the referencing work. Thus the criterion that there must be verifiable, objective evidence that the subject has received significant attention seems to be satisfied.

Editor VeniVidiVicipedia removed the section concerned, apparently without taking note of the above comments or reference to this talk page. In view of the situation I have reverted it. That editor and a subsequent editor did some additional reorganisation in relation to how the references are listed on the page which might well be re-introduced by anyone with the time and ability.--Brian Josephson (talk) 10:25, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

Needs a clearer definition of Adaptive system

eg. to clarify the context. How does this relate to aspects of systems theory or cybernetics ? What's the history of studying adaptive systems ? or should we rename article to Law of adaption ? - Rod57 (talk) 21:35, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
