Etymology[edit]

The Greek transliteration, or rendering in the greek alphabet, was derived from the construction given in the cited source, a-kentron-oura, using an automatic tool. I do not speak or read Greek, and it is entirely possible that my transliteration is misspelled.

A transliteration of the genus name using the same method is αcεντρονθρα. This needs to be checked by reference to alternate sources, or verification with a person who knows Greek.

While Acentronua is the correct genus name, my uncertainty could be due to a misspelling in the source, in the actual name itself by the person who named it, or the complexities of compound word construction in Greek.

Feedback from readers or other editors would be appreciated. Thank you, and I apologize for the confusion. Revent (talk) 16:04, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
