At the end of 1940th not Abram Gurvich was one of the main targets during Stalin's defamation campaign as «rootless cosmopolitan», but Alexander Gavrilovich Gurvich, confirm de:Alexander Gawrilowitsch Gurwitsch--r s c (talk) 23:05, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There were several Stalin's campaigns. One was "anti-mendelists", and Alexander Gawrilowitsch Gurwitsch as biologist suffered from it. And other (somewhat later) was "anti-cosmopolitan", it relates to literary critics, particularly to Abram Gurvich. You shouldn't mix that.
