Hughesdarren, I noticed that you recently marked this article as reviewed. I also saw the article in the new pages feed and thought about redirecting it to Atwell Mill Grove or List of largest giant sequoias, as I couldn't find enough coverage of the tree to pass GNG. Could you explain why you think this tree passes our notability guidelines? – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 01:18, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Lord Bolingbroke, I thought the tree having it's own page (Famous Redwoods) and being in the top 30 of the world gave it enough notability to pass through but if you don't feel that way then I'm not going to stop a redirect. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 02:04, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hughesdarren, I don't feel too strongly either way. I'm not sure that FamousRedwoods.com qualifies as a reliable source. However, I notice that many of the articles in Category:Individual giant sequoia trees and Category:Individual trees in California aren't much better in terms of sourcing, and most of those have existed for years without their notability being challenged; an AfD would probably be useful to set a precedent for pages of this type. – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 02:19, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
