I have no objection to the contents of this page. However, I was redirected to it when I clicked on a link to "cyclic extension" of a group. (From the page on Dicyclic groups.) Well, this page covers cyclic extensions of fields, but not cyclic extensions of groups, so the redirection is not helpful.
Was there once a Wikipedia page defining a cyclic extension of a group? If so, what has happened to it?
If anyone else is also looking for cyclic extension of a group, information can be found at Planet Math.

- I've removed the incorrect links. Note that the definition of "cyclic extension" on PlanetMath is incompatible with the usage in the Dicyclic group article: one is using the term to mean that the kernel is cyclic, and the other is using it to mean that the quotient is cyclic. --Zundark 13:14, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Cyclic extension[edit]
The phrase "cyclic extension" is applied to a splitting field where the Galois group is cyclic in Richard Dean's article in American Mathematical Montly cited in quaternion group. Evidently the redirect to this article on Abelian Extension is inappropriate given the usage in non-commutative algebra. Dean gives theorems on such an extension, so there is content for a separate article.Rgdboer (talk) 21:56, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
