cultural influence and themes[edit]

1) While this article does branch off into the magic realism article, perhaps it would be beneficial to elaborate on the genre within this article also. While both Borges and the magic realism page contain plenty of information about the genre I would be beneficial to show this significance within this article. Which leads to my next suggestion to add to the article, 2) the other articles about Borges popular work, like Ficciones, contain a section on the themes of the novel. It would also help flesh out the article, as the article only has one reference. I'm sure there are academic writings about this novel.
