This film is still lost[edit]

A search for Son of His Father at the UCLA Film and Television Archive website returns only https://cinema.library.ucla.edu/vwebv/holdingsInfo?bibId=163512 which is actually for the 1917 silent film The Son of His Father, and not A Son of His Father, which is this film. The description in that UCLA listing supports this, although that listing does the article in the title wrong (A instead of The).

Because of this, though, it seems that this film should be marked as lost again, and its reference to being preserved at UCLA removed.
