Popularity of "A Fine Romance"[edit]
It seems disputable to me that it was Billie Holiday was most responsible for the popularity of "A Fine Romance." The song was introduced by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the movie Swing Time, which was a considerable popular success, and Astaire's recording of the song was also successful. Billie Holiday was considered a jazz singer in the 1930s rather part of mainstream pop. I'm inclined to suspect (but with sympathy, because I love Billie Holiday more than any other pop or jazz singer) that someone has made this unverified claim out of reverence for her and her voice, but I suspect research would discover it's mistaken.

dates of recordings[edit]
What do the dates, such as (2006) for Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend, mean. Not the release date of the movie, since that was in the 1950 Zeimusu | Talk page 23:22, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
