Should games from the Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives releases be integrated into the list?[edit]

I recently removed some games from the "Future Releases" section because they haven't been confirmed for individual release on the eShop. I did this because I was under the impression that we only list eShop releases on this page. But after thinking about it, even if those games stayed exclusive to the Sega 3D Fukkoku Archives releases, they are technically still "3D Classics". On the first compilation, there were two Master System games not released individually and on the second one there will be two Master System games plus two arcade games which might or might not be released individually on the eShop. So what I'm asking is, should we add those games even though they might not be released outside the compilations? 88.68.129.30 (talk) 15:43, 13 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't this be two pages?[edit]

The Arika-developed Nintendo 3D Classics and the Sega 3D Classics are two completely unrelated series, but the language on this page reads like they're part of the same project. The Sega games aren't even referred to as "3D Classics" in Japan, but the 3D Reprint Project instead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Espiox (talkcontribs) 14:50, 19 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Galaxy Force II[edit]

The 3D Classics conversion is based on the arcade original, not the mediocre Genesis conversion as claimed by the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2604:6000:A643:D600:68B0:A887:A5DB:349C (talk) 10:37, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed it.

Split into two pages[edit]

I propose we split this into two pages into "3D Classics series (Nintendo)" and "3D Classics series (Sega)". These two topics are unrelated, and the article even says this. GooseTheGreat (talk) 22:56, 10 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You could just simply call the articles 3D Classics (Nintendo) and 3D Classics (Sega). Namcoloden (talk) 00:38, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed the page into your suggestion. GooseTheGreat (talk) 13:36, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It seems we already have a page on the Sega series under their retail collection title, Sega 3D Reprint Archives. I would therefore propose to merge the Sega-related content there and connect them with a hatnote or a disambiguation page per WP:2DAB. Felix QW (talk) 09:47, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We should definitely split this up. QuicoleJR (talk) 13:44, 22 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, I put a notice at WT:VG. QuicoleJR (talk) 19:17, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Where's the proof Nintendo 3D classics are independently notable? Maybe they should just be removed instead and the article refocused on SEGA, or merged altogether. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 20:39, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If we did that, this article could be deleted as a duplicate of Sega 3D Reprint Archives. Also, the Nintendo 3D Classics are notable, I just do not have time to find sources. QuicoleJR (talk) 20:59, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In that case I would support moving this page to Nintendo 3D Classics, then merging the SEGA stuff with Sega 3D Reprint Archives and disambiguating 3D Classics. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 22:32, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. These two lines are only related by virtue of being the same idea, with neither company collaborating on this. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 10:16, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • I could only find two sources about the Nintendo 3D Classics, and one is primary. [1][2]. I'm not convinced the Nintendo 3D Classics need a page, but certainly this page should not exist. We don't need a Sega page because we already have Sega 3D Reprint Archives. TarkusABtalk/contrib 16:09, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'm fine with any outcome that, at minimum, makes this not about both lines of games. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 09:37, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
