Untitled[edit]

Does anybody know where we could get a rendering we can use on here? I've seen plenty of them on various websites.

Owner?[edit]

Who owns the building? Does Nordstrom own it or are they just leasing space?

-- It would appear that Nordstrom owns it, or at least own the land. http://nypost.com/2013/08/27/nordstrom-buys-land-for-tower-in-midtown/

Height of building[edit]

Dear Epicgenius - There has been some confusing to how tall the building will be. According to NY Curbed, 225 West 57th Street will become the second tallest building in NY and the U.S. upon completion, and not surpass One World Trade Center, according to their source. However, New York Yimby says that 225 West 57th Street will surpass One World Trade Center (by architectural and roof height) and surpass Willis Tower (by roof height) to become NY's and the United States' tallest building, and the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, upon completion, according to this source. According to NY Curbed, the building will remain 1,775 feet (1 foot shorter than One World Trade Center), however, New York Yimby says the building will be 1,795 feet (architectural height), 19 feet taller than One World Trade Center, and the roof will be 1,530 feet, which both NY Curbed and New York Yimby. Which sources is more reliable, and how can we update or find which information is true? Thank you! CookieMonster755 (talk) 22:21, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also is the name of the building really 225 West 57th Street, because according to New York Yimby, the buildings name (or address?) is 217 West 57th Street. Hopefully I don't ask you too much questions. CookieMonster755 (talk) 22:23, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@CookieMonster755: I'lll have a look at this in detail later; I have homework. Anyway, from a cursory observation, NY Curbed and NY Yimby are equally reliable. It looks like Curbed denies the rumored 1795-ft height, which NY Yimby had posted yesterday.Epic Genius (talk) 22:33, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It appears that the newer, Curbed source is correct. Epic Genius (talk) 02:47, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Aye, okay. Thanks for reply. CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:45, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to bother you again Epicgenius. I am still neutral whether the building is going to surpass One World Trade Center or not. DailyMail says here that Nordstrom Tower will be taller than One WTC. It was posted on May 11, however it was updated on May 12, when NY Yimby said that's not true. The DailyMail article seems to still advocate that Nordstrom will be taller than One WTC. I don't know if we should update the article, but I do recommend to keep your eye out on this update. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 06:06, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
