Distance[edit]

@Nallen01: Thanks for your work tonight. However, the official sources say that the track distance is 1.645 miles. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  04:58, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, this may require further checking then. I thought it seemed like too much of a coincidence that the total length remained exactly the same as last year despite a track change, and found the 1.700 figure from the street circuit wiki page. Nallen01 (talk) 05:03, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I made sure to check the race info page on the IndyCar website before putting it on there. The results sources you added to the article state it as well. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  05:09, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I've been looking around and while there seems to be some confusion around 1.7 vs. 1.645, I'll admit that every single official source is saying 1.645 - I'll admit defeat and switch that back haha. Nallen01 (talk) 05:16, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Previous winners[edit]

I'm not sure if a change in track venue should result in a "reset" of the previous winners of the event? At this stage I have kept all previous winners labelled as such, but if we feel that shouldn't be the case then happy for them to be removed.

@GhostOfDanGurney: do you have thoughts on this? Nallen01 (talk) 05:30, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It honestly depends on what the reliable sources say. For now if it was my call, I would keep the previous winners, as the article Detroit Grand Prix (IndyCar) comprises the events at both the old Detroit street circuit, and the Raceway at Belle Isle. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  05:39, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
