Official source says he was classified 16th and 6 laps despite retiring due to power unit issue as Alfa Romeo stated. What is it correct? Leave it that way or should we put the prose he was classified as he completed more than 90% of the race distance along with "Power unit" reason in place of "6 laps"? We should follow whatever the source we used to cite the table uses. The problem with using the F1.com source (the source from the 19:45, 24 July 2022 is that it doesn't contradict the official source. You can be classified, despite not finishing the race. Surely it's been long enough for everyone to know the rule? @Island92: Classified does not mean finished. A non-classified retirement is shown as a DNF, a classified retirement is always shown as "+something laps". The FIA's final classification document has Zhou classified 16th, but his race time (1:21) is less than the race winner (1:30), which confirms that he retired. @SSSB: Per article 62.2 of the sporting regulations, "Cars having covered less than 90% of the number of laps covered by the winner (rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps), will not be classified." 90% of 53 is 47.7, which is rounded down to 47. He is classified 16th with 47 laps completed but having put 6 laps is a mistake made by FIA, who should have put DNF. Bahrain classification. Pérez 56 laps DNF, Verstappen 54 laps DNF. We do not read Pérez 56 1 lap or Verstappen 54 3 laps, basing it on a distance of 57 laps. Island92 (talk) 11:55, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It should have been like Richard Verschoor's race, classified 11th, 28 laps and DNF. I don't know whether Zhou Guanyu was lapped once or more, but he cannot have been lapped six times for sure. This time FIA put 6 laps directly basing it on how many laps were left as he retired.Island92 (talk) 15:02, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
