Mid day news shows[edit]

Please when you get a chance respond to this: is GMA3 and NBC news daily supposed to air at 12 or 1 pm et ? (Since this is being crazy a bit with the reverts and everything?) Hoopstercat (talk) 00:41, 19 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

According to ABC's website GMA 3 airs at 1 pm ET and 12 pm CT/PT but ABC owned and operated stations will air at 12 pm ET likely to avoid competition with NBC (since for NBC news daily we were not able to find a source to it they likely both air at the same time) Hoopstercat (talk) 18:57, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, the ABC owned stations do air the show at 1 pm but NBC owned stations air NBC News Daily at 12 noon, and both shows do compete with each other, you must have been reading it all wrong. Another thing is, is NBC news daily just an extension of today (so it airs back to back) or no is it its own independent program? And same with GMA3? Hoopstercat (talk) 18:12, 21 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, most of the owned and operated NBC stations air NBC News Daily at 12pm as do most ABC O&O stations with GMA3. It's typical for ABC to create a one hour syndicated buffer between GMA3 and General Hospital. However, on most affiliates, the programs air at 1pm. As such, I think it's fine if we just keep the programs at 1pm. I don't really think it matters either way, but 1pm it is. Thematrix92498 (talk) 01:41, 25 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
