Holy crap, here we go again. According to how the article reads, Byron Mallott is the Democratic candidate for the Independent nomination. While it's true that the Alaska Democratic Party's lawsuit left things even more puckered up than normal, this is not at all reflective of the way things work. We're continuing to pander to those who wish to mislead readers into believing that Walker was elected as an independent while Mallott was simultaneously elected as a Democrat in 2014, something which simply didn't happen, based on cherry-picking a single source of an unrelated occurrence from two months before the election. As those editors habitually engage in edit warring and carrying on as if there's no "D" in WP:BRD, I don't expect to see a response to this, either. "Two more recent polls, by Patinkin Research (Feb 2018) and Alaska Survey Research (Mar 2018), showed Walker leading potential Republican nominee Mike Dunleavy. In the latter poll Walker leads by seven points. Alaska Survey Research also published quarterly tracking results showing Walker's approval rating up by ten points in the first quarter of 2018, his highest approval rating since the beginning of 2016.[2]"

Completly outdated pieces of information. Walker looks to be way behind in nearly all polls conducted since early summer.91.22.150.112 (talk) 03:23, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

False polling summary[edit]

Walker will still appear on the ballot and probably get a few percentage points. It`s still a three-way-race.91.22.144.79 (talk) 02:31, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a runoff if no one gets a majority?CountMacula (talk) 02:10, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not in Alaska. 331dot (talk) 08:21, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
