women's tiebreakers[edit]

the way the standings are presented appear (to me) to be disingenius. I mean that it shows USA, SUI, RUS, and KOR all tied (true), but highlighting them in green seems to imply that they all still have a chance to advance which is not true. Since RUS and KOR were eliminated from being able to win the tournament I am going to un-highlight them, but I don't know if (and how) the detail of their tie-breaking game should be retitled.18abruce (talk) 19:28, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That's not how it works. Those teams advanced to the tiebreakers, so the colouring is accurate. Think about if from the perspective of the future, and not the present. -- Earl Andrew - talk 21:14, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Russia and Korea absolutely did not advance to the tiebreakers, colouring them the same is misleading. They played a tie-breaking game but only to decide placement in the final standings, apparently the loser is relegated to a qualifier event along with the 3 teams below. The tie-breaking rules follow the WCF rule book (p.51-2) but I don't quite get the relegation news from their website.18abruce (talk) 21:44, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh weird, I hadn't realized that. Sorry. This seems rather unfair, considering the four teams had the same records. -- Earl Andrew - talk 21:47, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No worries at all, same thing happened in the european championships, it is a significant change. The relegation explanation dosen't match their rule book at all so I don't know what is really happening there.18abruce (talk) 21:50, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Qualification[edit]

Should there be a qualification section? Maybe a paragraph about the finishers qualifying for next years event? --Coppercanuck (talk) 03:40, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
