Size[edit]

"Likely size of impactor was 5-10 m" ? I've seen it from Milan, Italy. It was really bigger. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.31.112.66 (talkcontribs) 10:58, 25 January 2010‎

Brightness is a function of speed, distance, and size. You can not accurately judge the exact size just from the brightness. -- Kheider (talk) 19:08, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Brightness?[edit]

Was this event brighter than the Chelyabinsk meteor? If not, why are the brightness designations the wrong way round? -- 212.139.104.186 (talk) 18:29, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The lower the apparent magnitude, the brighter the object is. -- Kheider (talk) 19:08, 25 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Local time suggestion[edit]

UTC time is given (0300), but it may be helpful to include the local time alongside that. — al-Shimoni (talk) 22:55, 13 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For example, in the first sentence of the lede for the Chelyabinsk meteor article, the time is stated, "[...] on 15 February 2013 at about 09:20 YEKT (03:20 UTC), [...]"
