Time for another NASCAR article review.

Lead section

  • "Attendance was 70,000" I would suggest rewriting to: "70,000 people attended the race."
    •  Done

Report

  • "Ryan Newman was scored fourth" "while Jeff Gordon was scored in twentieth." Neither sound right. Mind if you rewrite these?
  • "Of the other drivers in the Chase, Jeff Gordon was scored seventeenth fastest, while Stewart was scored in twenty-fourth." Likewise for this sentence?
  • "During the pace laps, Robby Gordon have to move to the rear of the grid because of changing his engine." I would rewrite to: "During the pace laps, Robby Gordon had to move to the back of the grid because of him changing his engine."
  • "Johnson retained his pole position lead into the first corner, with Speed behind him. Two laps later, Harvick passed Stewart for the second position" Whoa hang on. Wasn't Speed in second? Do you mean that Harvick passed Stewart for third?
    • I meant to say that Harvick moved into fourth, I have amended this. Z105space (Talk to me!) 12:09, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Kyle Busch immediately passed Kurt Busch on the restart for the lead." Link Kyle Busch.

Once these issues are addressed, I am happy to promote this article to GA class. good888 (talk) 11:28, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
