virginia is known home team

Can we either wait for the official announcement of teams before placing them on the article? Or at least cite where the named teams have accepted a bid.

NO

Are these going to be announced by Midnight eastern time? What a half-assed tourney already! Hawaii just accepted a bid...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:2008_College_Basketball_Invitational Hawaii accepts bid to CBI I have 12 confirmed teams

Lay out the confirmed teams... and how you know. NeuGye (talk) 04:17, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the cites. Anyone have one for the IUPUI bid mentioned earlier? NeuGye (talk) 04:17, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Closest think I can find on IUPUI is that it has "garnered interest". No oonfirmation though. Univeristy of Cincinnati has now confirmed they are in on their site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Unoriginal name (talkcontribs) 04:33, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tulsa looks like it accepts: http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?articleID=20080316_2__Tulsa47445 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ey1192 (talkcontribs) 05:15, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't edit it, but an article on ESPN.com mentioned that Seton Hall had turned down their invite too for financial reasons/Bobby Gonzalez is angry.

Rider accepts bid...final team to do so[edit]

Rider accepts bid...16th team of 16 finalized: <http://www.nj.com/centraljersey/index.ssf/2008/03/rider_accepts_cbi_bid.html> —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cdcollins10 (talkcontribs) 05:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BRACKET JUST POSTED ONLINE, gives every matchup and some times/networks. However, this also shows that Seton Hall is not in the tournament, while Old Dominion is included in the tournament: <http://www.gazellegroup.com/cbi/cbi_bracket08.pdf>

Pay or Start Up or Controversy or Anything Else[edit]

There is buzz out there about a few aspects of the CBI. There is the fact that schools have to pay to be in (and how much per game), reasons why it was started, and even some controversies about it exisiting. Can anyone maybe add to the CBI page with any of this? The article makes it sound like just a run of the mill tourny, but even the fact that is the only new one since the 70s proves that there is more to the story. This is further proved by the number of schools declining thier bid. Since it is the article for the first one, can any of this be included? NeuGye (talk) 15:16, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Presentation of the finals[edit]

Since the finals are a best-of-three series, my thought is to show all two/three scores for the finals, similar to how tennis brackets show the results. This will take a bit of template hacking, but I've got a good idea how to make the change; I'll play with that later tonight or tomorrow before taking it live. Any objections to me being bold to make this change? —C.Fred (talk) 16:09, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of participants and their records[edit]

We need it for this year. The other years have the teams accepting bids.
