This article doesn't match Perecheni No. 6[edit]

Dear Wreck Smurfy and Kges1901 (cc the always helpful B.Velikov) Can you tell me which of the divisions on Perecheni No. 6 as displayed at http://www.teatrskazka.com/Raznoe/Perechni_voisk/Perechen_06_01.html this division is? Doesn't match up, make sense.. Buckshot06 (talk) 13:13, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's the 1st Cavalry Division. It is missing from that list. The 1st Cavalry Division in it was the Odessa Cavalry Division, a wartime mobilization division and it was quickly reflagged to the 2nd Cavalry Division. The 1st Cavalry Division retained its numerical and changed designation between Cavalry and Mountain Cavalry twice. The reason why it is missing might be that the division has spent most of the time on occupation duty in Iran and was thus not part of the Active Army. That is most probably the reason why the 45th Army, which the 1st Cavalry was part of also isnæt listed among the armies of the Active army, which list goes from the 44th Army to the 46th Army. Of the three armies that were involved the 44th and 53rd were redeployed after the initial takeover. 45th remained in Iran on occupation duty.

BTW, you should find someone else for refence on those topics. I am done with Wikipedia. I am only wrapping up lately. This whole thing is pointless. B.Velikov (talk) 14:21, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks Boris. You will note I only CC'd you, addressing my query to Wreck Smurfy & Kges1901, though whenever you pop up I do appreciate your contributions, whether you're just wrapping up or not.. Buckshot06 (talk) 01:34, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yes, the division did exist and was added to the perechen by DGsh No. 17[1] with other divisions that fought in the invasion of Iran. Even though it was in Iran, the division is still mentioned in the BSSA. However, the division lost its mountain designation and was actually known as simply the 1st Cavalry Division for most of its existence. Kges1901 (talk) 16:14, 27 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
