1994 strike[edit]

I'm REALLY SERIOUS when I mention about the Yankees still reeling from the 1994 strike when they won the World Series. Buck Showalter and many players on the Yankees' 1994 team that would have played in the postseason were not there on the Yankees team that won in 1996. They were all gone, because they were affected by the strike, and it ruined their championship hopes. – SNIyer12, (talk), 01:12, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is absolutely nothing in those sources about the 1996 season. It's all about 1994, and that's where it belongs. Putting it here and implying any sort of connection between 1994 and 1996 is your original research based on synthesis of published material. – Muboshgu (talk) 02:37, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm confused here... if the manager and many players from 1994 werent on the 1996 team then how were the new players "reeling" from the strike? Your logic confounds me. Spanneraol (talk) 12:46, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The Yankees were affected by the strike. Throughout the 1996 World Series, the news media reached out to members of the 1994 team and asked them how much the strike affected them and many of them said that their time with the Yankees ended because of the strike, because that Yankee team was destined for a World Series championship. Some of them also said that they couldn't watch the World Series because of how they felt in 1994. – SNIyer12, (talk), 01:05, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yea, but that was the 94 team... why would that belong on the 96 page? Spanneraol (talk) 02:55, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That team represented the best chance for a Yankees team to reach the postseason and win a World Series for the first time since losing the 1981 World Series before 1996, but they lost their chance. – SNIyer12, (talk), 11:49, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
