We're better than this[edit]

The latest edits to this article on a pivotal election in a nation that, in 1990, captured a great deal of the world's attention amounts to an apologia for the Sandinista defeat. The truth of the matter is much more complicated. Wikipedia and Nicaragua deserve a much more intellectually honest appraisal. Some examples: polls taken by organizations not connected to the Sandinista regime showed the opposition, not the Sandinistas, winning. Most intimidation, including violent attacks on opposition rallies, came from the Sandinistas, not the U.S. or the opposition. The role of international observation is almost completely absent. If Wikipedia is to be the source of all world knowledge it deserves to be it can't allow blatantly partisan, biased POV articles like this and an increasing number of others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.98.118.115 (talk) 17:32, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
