Probably, the prize fund for the World Cup was unchanged usd 6300 för a long period of years, including 1968. Obviously, the saurce, Quebec Chronicle-Telegraph - Nov 13, 1967 got the individual prize money totally wrong. The newspaper just read the prize money list: 1000, 500, 400, 200 and converted it in an inconsistent way to the results. Should we take my version into the article , decrease to 6300 and divide ind money between tied players the correct way? EEJB (talk) 21:08, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
