Majority[edit]

All the expert sources I can find treat the Liberal government from 1945 to 1949 as a majority, not a minority. The "independent Liberals" were Liberals. In all cases but one, the Liberal party did not run candidates against them (look at Lake St-John—Roberval, for example, or Lévis, or Matapédia—Matane, or Québec—Montmorency, or Quebec West and South, or Témiscouata). The independent Liberals caucused with the Liberals. They sat with the Liberals in the Commons. But most importantly, it's not for us to determine what is or is not a minority government. We must depend on reliable, verifiable sources, and they say that this was a majority government. Instant Comma (talk) 14:01, 4 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
