Link between "Kensington and Chelsea rivals" and 1011/CGM[edit]

The Evening Standard article mentions that the W12/12World rivals posted a song that included the lyrics "Wit 2 shanks up, creep up like luga/Leave man cut, now the 12s all hot" (edited for grammar); looking these lyrics up on Google links to "No Hook" by 1011. For some reason, the title of the song/name of the group wasn't included in the article; I'm assuming this was due to it not being included in the evidence for the trial of the group.

(While I'm at it, an appeal of the trial of A1's killer mentions W12 as an alias for 12World: [1]. This probably can't be used due to the link being PRIMARY unless the website for the Old Bailey is reputable, which it probably is.) Hwqaksd (talk) 16:25, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would have thought that the British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII) being hosted by the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London and the Law Faculty, University College Cork would be considered reliable source, especially when the Queen's Bench of the Court of Appeal is directing that their judgement is being remotely handed down to the parties by its publication on this very website. Using this source is as if one went to the Court of Appeal and took judgement directly from the Presiding Officer's hands. While a Court decision might be a primary source, using it for simple facts stated in the judgement is acceptable. The problem comes if one attempts to analyse or interpret what such sources imply in making their decisions and attempting to generalize what the specific decision means to other situations. To perform such analysis, a secondary source is needed that analyses the judgement. However, the Judgement does say, at paragraph 18, in the section headed "The Facts", that "W12", or "12Anti", or "12 World" is a "Gang". I think that can still be cited from the Court judgement as it is fact established by the Court. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 08:11, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Very well then; I'll add W12 as an alias for 12World. 12Anti appears to be a different thing and a The Guardian article notes, through a youth worker's quote, that the two rivaled each other at some point ([2]), so I'll discount it. Hwqaksd (talk) 20:08, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
