It has come to my attention that this article contains false information regarding the STAR WARS DVD's.

  "In each of the prequel trilogy DVDs, a hidden Easter egg can be found by accessing the "Options" menu and entering "1138"."

  "On the Bonus DVD for the original trilogy release, a blooper reel can be found by entering "1138" from the "Video Games and Still Galleries" menu."

I own every STAR WARS DVD and have investigated this idea of the 'Easter eggs' only to find that it is false. Try highlighting the THX logo, then entering "11", Enter, "03", Enter, "08", Enter. On some DVD player remote controls you might be able to do "11", Enter, "38", Enter. Robert Happelberg 23:03, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  Huh?  *shakes head*  Again my hopes have been lifted then dropped.

When the disk is put in the player, it goes to the main menu with 4 listings. The only one of these that, when selected, even has a THX logo is the language Options. I highlighted the THX Logo, as you said, and the instant I pressed '1', the 1st heading under 'Audio Options' is selected. I tried pressing what you said anyway and what happened suprised me.

It's not false information, per say, but it doesn't work on all DVD players. It works fine on my Sony, though. For the prequels: go to Options, highlight the THX optimizer logo, and press '1,' '1,' 'Enter,' and then '3,' 'Enter," and then '8,' 'Enter." For the OT set, I think you have to put in the bonus disk, go to Videogames & Still Galleries, and highlight... umm... I think the still galleries link. And then do the same thing. Buckaroo Banzai entry - genuine reference, or coincidence?[edit]

When I saw the Buckaroo Banzai note in "Other references", I had to call that into question. The number as it's formatted (11-1-38) appears on a computer display, which in the 1980s often used two-digit years, and the date in question (November 1, 1938) was explicitly discussed as being related to the October 30th, 1938 broadcast of The War of the Worlds. Is there anything in published materials (such as interviews or DVD commentary) to establish that the 11-1-38 formatting was meant as an 1138 reference?
