Macronising[edit]

I've moved the page from Oita Prefecture to Ōita Prefecture as per the guidlines on WP:MOS-JP. I've also corrected all the double redirects. Bobo12345 11:38, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Horse meat[edit]

To my knowledge (which is pretty good as I actually live here in Oita-ken), Oita is not famous for it's horse meat. That claim to fame belongs to nearby province Kumamoto. Does anyone have a claim to back this statement up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.237.151.1 (talk) 01:16, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The recent education scandal[edit]

Tourism[edit]

"Visitors particularly relish the effects of burial in steaming hot volcanic sands."

Burial is... not the right word here. And this sentence is hilarious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.236.240.156 (talk) 12:56, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
