Production[edit]

In late May 2019, principal photography had begun on a new action film titled School Fight, revealed in 2024 to be a standalone sequel to Kick-Ass 2 and the first of a new trilogy in the Hit-Girl & Kick-Ass franchise. Damien Walters had been hired to write and direct the film, with Greg Townley, Paul Lowe and Bobby Holland Hanton starring in the lead roles. Matthew Vaughn serves as a producer, revealing in 2024 it would be the first of three new films in the franchise, with the next one (again directed by Walters) being titled The Stuntman.[5][6][7]

Filming had wrapped by June 2021.[8]
