Reynaldo Bendijo Bersabal[1] (born October 15, 1962) is a Filipino priest of the Catholic Church who was appointed as auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Sacramento in 2024.

Biography[edit]

The youngest of three children, Bersabal grew up in a small town in Mindanao, Philippines. He entered the diocesan seminary of San Jose de Mindanao where he obtained a degree in philosophy from Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan. On April 29, 1991, Bersabal was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro.

Episcopal career[edit]

Pope Francis appointed Bersabal auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Sacramento on April 20, 2024.[3][4][5] On May 31, 2024, Bersabal is scheduled to be consecrated as a bishop.
