Pacôme Dadiet (born 27 July 2005) is a French basketball player for Ratiopharm Ulm of the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). He previously played for Paris Basketball.

Early life[edit]

Dadiet was born on 27 July 2005, and is of Ivorian descent.[1][2] As a youth, he joined the club Saint-Charles Charenton [fr] in 2011, where he remained through 2020 and was teammates with players including Tidjane Salaun.[3] He then spent time with the youth team of Centre Fédéral de Basket-ball before joining Paris Basketball.[4] He appeared in 22 games for the Paris Basketball U21 team in the 2021–22 season and had averages of 17.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.[5]

Professional career[edit]

Dadiet made his debut for the Paris Basketball first team, in the LNB Pro A, in October 2021 at the age of 16, totaling seven points in eight minutes of playing time.[6] He appeared in eight games in the 2021–22 season for the main squad.[1]

Dadiet sought to leave Paris and join the German team Ratiopharm Ulm in 2022, but was involved in a contractual dispute which did not allow him to join them until January 2023.[7][8][9] He played for the Ulm developmental team, OrangeAcademy, in the German third tier, in the 2022–23 season, averaging 16.0 points and 4.2 rebounds.[1] He also appeared in one game for the first team, playing three minutes.[10] He became a regular player for Ulm in the 2023–24 season and has been viewed as a potential National Basketball Association (NBA) prospect.[1][11]

International career[edit]

Dadiet represented France at the 2021 FIBA U16 European Challengers, where he played five games and averaged 6.0 points and 1.4 rebounds.[2] He later participated at the 2022 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup and helped France win the bronze medal while averaging 4.3 points, 2.2 assists and 1.4 rebounds.[5]

Personal life[edit]

Dadiet's older brother, Maxence, also is a basketball player and has been a member of the Ivory Coast men's national basketball team.[6][12]
