Professional career[edit]

Early career[edit]

Iglesias turned professional in 2019, and fighting in Germany for the early days of career, where he picked up wins against Malkhaz Sujashvili, Rafael Bejaran and Bernard Donfack. He began fighting at Poland by late 2021.

Iglesias vs. Pintos[edit]

After the Pandemic cooled down for a bit, Iglesias boxed again, fighting the Uruguayan veteran Rafael Sosa Pintos on December 11, 2021, at Szeligi, Poland, the match ended as a 1st-round TKO for Iglesias.

Iglesias vs. Racz[edit]

On February 19, 2022, at Wrocław, Poland, Iglesias fought knockout artist Slovakian boxer, Robert Racz for the vacant IBO Youth super middleweight championship, in the 1st Round, Iglesias floored Racz down, ending the match early.[4]

Iglesias vs. Chilemba[edit]

After winning the IBO Youth championship, Iglesias fought Isaac Chilemba, who has experienced fighting world class boxers like Dmitry Bivol and Fedor Chudinov for the WBA Inter-continental and IBO International super middleweight titles.[5] The bout went to the distance and gave Iglesias his first ever decision bout as he prevails via unanimous decision.[6]

Iglesias vs. Maderna[edit]

After defeating Chilemba, Iglesias was set to fight Azizbek Abdugofurov, however, Abdugofurov pulled out, thus, Iglesias decided to fight Ezequiel Maderna. This isn't the first time Iglesias had a cancelled bout, as he had previously been scheduled to fight Luke Blackledge in Hamburg, Germany on January 25, 2020.[7] In the match against Maderna, Iglesias won via 1st-round KO.

Iglesias vs. Velikovskyi[edit]

After victories against experienced boxers Isaac Chilemba and Ezequiel Maderna, Iglesias was given a world title shot against Ukrainian Andrii Velikovskyi for the vacant IBO super middleweight title, the bout nearly went the distance until in round 10, Iglesias floored Velikovskyi en route to a 10th round KO victory, making him the new IBO super middleweight champion.[8]

Iglesias vs. Reus[edit]

His first defense of the IBO title was against undefeated (11–0) German boxer Artur Reis in Magdeburg, Germany on October 7, 2023, marking his return on boxing in Germany.[9] The match was able to last up to four rounds before Iglesias made a stunning brutal knockout punch against Reus.[10]

Iglesias vs. Coceres[edit]

In March 7, 2024, Iglesias and Coceres remarked their first bout in 2024 together, their bout serving as a co-main for the Steven Butler vs. Steve Rolls card at Montreal Casino, this also marks as Iglesias' debut outside of Europe,[11] on the first round of their scheduled 10-rounds match, Iglesias, standing at over 6-foot towering over Coceres who came fresh from a KO loss against resilient Diego Pacheco, uses his reach as an advantage and later threw a jab followed by a left hook to the temple that put Coceres down en route to a first-round KO (Coceres was not able to stand up).[12] On this bout, the commentators also stated the inaccuracy of BoxRec's initial billed height for Iglesias (5'9), the commentators pointed out Iglesias being over 6-foot tall, and initially thought it was Iglesias' brother at the weigh in, BoxRec now fixed the inaccuracy. Despite Iglesias remaining the reigning IBO super middleweight champ, the title was not on the line, considering prior to the bout, Coceres was not within the IBO super middleweight rankings.[13]
