Jurie George van Vuuren (born 7 June 1993) is a South African rugby union player who plays for the Tel Aviv Heat.[1] He also plays for the Utah Warriors in Major League Rugby (MLR).[2] His regular position is lock or flanker.

He previously played for the Eastern Province Elephants in the Currie Cup and in the Rugby Challenge[3] He also was a member of the Southern Kings.

Career[edit]

With no prior senior experience, Van Vuuren joined the Stormers' touring squad during the 2014 Super Rugby season following several injuries to first team players.[4][5] He made his debut for the Stormers in their 25–15 loss to the Brumbies in Canberra[6] by coming on as a second-half substitute.[7] He was named in the starting line-up for the Stormers' next match, against the Reds in Brisbane.[8]
