Jeremiah Chukwuebuka Ani (born 6 May 1999) known by his stage name Jeriq is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter.[1] He is currently an independent artist.[2][3]

Early life and career[edit]

Jeriq was born and raised in Nkpor, Anambra State. He attended College of the Immaculate Conception, a secondary school in Enugu State and later attended Enugu State University of Science and Technology, where he obtained his first degree. Jeriq started recording music at the age of 15. His debut single "Iyoo" was one of the songs he recorded during this period.[3]

In 2020 he released "No More Nleka", with support from Zoro, then released a six-track EP, "Hood Boy Dreams", he featured Phyno on then released a remix of "Remember", a track from the EP.[4][5]

In 2021, he collaborated with Dremo on an EP, "Ea$t N We$t". In December 2021, he contributed to DJ Neptune's "Cash", alongside Ghana-based Kofi Jamar, featured on stage in concerts at ESUT, UNN and UNIPORT.

In May 2022, he released his debut album, "Billion Dollar Dream". The album's production team included Dr Jayswaarg, Insane Chips, Soo Flashy, Bada$$, Xtraordinaire, and Enaps and had inputs from Flavour, Psycho YP, Alpha P, Kofi Jamar, DJ Neptune and Dremo.[6][7]
