Ishana Night Shyamalan (born 2001 or 2002)[1] is an American filmmaker. She will make her directorial debut with the 2024 horror film The Watchers.

Early life[edit]

Shyamalan was born in Philadelphia.[2] She is the daughter of filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan. She graduated from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.[3]

Career[edit]

Ishana frequently collaborates with her older sister Saleka, and has directed a majority of her music videos.[4][5]

Shyamalan directed and wrote several episodes of the horror TV series Servant, for which her father was the showrunner.[2][6] Shyamalan also directed the second unit on her father's films Old (2021) and Knock at the Cabin (2023).[7][3]

In February 2023, it was announced that Shyamalan would be making her directorial debut with the horror film The Watchers.[8][3] The film will be released on June 14, 2024.[9]
