Golshan, formerly Musaabad (Persian: موسي اباد, also Romanized as Mūsáābād, Mūsā Ābād, and Mūsábbād)[3] is a city in the Central District of Dehaqan County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as the administrative center for Musaabad Rural District.[4] The city is the merger of Musaabad with two other villages after the 2006 census.[5]

At the 2006 National Census census, the population of Musaabad village alone was 3,628 in 1,077 households. (Combining the populations of the three villages that were later to form the city of Golshan, there were 4,641 people in 1,325 households.)[6] The following census in 2011 counted 5,058 people in 1,576 households,[7] by which time Musaabad was elevated to the status of the city of Golshan after merging with the villages of Dowlatabad and Mehdiabad.[5][8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,437 people in 1,736 households.[2]
