Génos (French pronunciation: [ʒenɔs]; Occitan: Genos) is a commune in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in south-western France.

Climate[edit]

Génos has an oceanic climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb). The average annual temperature in Génos is 7.9 °C (46.2 °F). The average annual rainfall is 1,520.1 mm (59.85 in) with November as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in August, at around 16.2 °C (61.2 °F), and lowest in January, at around 0.6 °C (33.1 °F). The highest temperature ever recorded in Génos was 34.0 °C (93.2 °F) on 19 July 2016; the coldest temperature ever recorded was −21.0 °C (−5.8 °F) on 16 January 1985.
