Description
English: The masquerade outfit of Gustav III of Sweden worn during his assassination on March 16, 1792.
Svenska: Gustav III:s maskeraddräkt, buren vid attentatet på operamaskeraden den 16 mars 1792. Rundskuren kappa i svart tunn sidentaft av fyra stycken av vilka de två yttre är smalare, de två inre är fulla våder, bredd: 1090 mm. Ståndkrage i dubbelt tyg. Ofodrad. Mycket skör och genomgående stora hål och revor. Stödkonserverad med svart siden på flera ställen. Röd handsydd söm mitt bak som löper ner över ryggen i en assymetrisk form.
Français : Costume porté en 1792 par le roi Gustave III de Suède au bal masqué au cours duquel il fut assassiné. L’événement inspira l'opéra Un ballo in maschera à Verdi.
