Eleanor Cardwell (born 11 November 1994) is an English international netball player.[2] She plays in goal attack and goal shooter for England, and at the club level represented Manchester Thunder and Severn Stars in the Netball Superleague until the end of the 2022 season. Eleanor joined the Adelaide Thunderbirds in the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season.[3] For the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Season, Cardwell will be reuniting with familiar face Tracey Neville at Melbourne Mavericks [4]

Cardwell was born in Blackpool, joining Blackpool Netball Club at the age of 10.[5] She played with Manchester Thunder initially as a defender, before transitioning to attack in the 2015 and 2016 Superleague seasons.[6][7] In 2016 she represented England in Netball Europe.[8] Following her time with Manchester Thunder, she played at Severn Stars for two seasons, before returning to Manchester ahead of the 2019 Superleague season.[9]
