The Zoo is a music venue in Brisbane, Australia that first opened its doors in 1992. The venue was started by photographers Curran and C Smith, who ran it together for 12 years, after which Smith stepped back to concentrate on her family.[1] Curran continued to run the venue until 2016, and then in 2020 Shane Chidgzey took over the venue.[2] In May 2024, it was announced that the venue would be permanently closing in July.[3]
