Shawn is a Bangladeshi born Canadian cricketer, aerospace engineer, entrepreneur, and politician.^1 Shawn was the 2015 Alberta Liberal Party candidate in Calgary-Hays.^2 Shawn has a history of leadership in all his endeavors starting as advocating and founding the Pearson Patriots Cricket Club as part of a school's cricket league through a collaboration between Calgary Board of Education and the Calgary & District Cricket League.^4 He first represented U17 Alberta Cricket Team in the 2003 Western Canadian Cricket Tournament in Vancouver, British Columbia.^5 His cricketing skills developed and he was a leading member of Team Alberta in the 2004 Canada Cup.^6 In the 2015 Alberta General Election, Shawn received 722 votes for the Alberta Liberal Party Association.^3 A more detailed breakdown of the election result is available at Elections Alberta.^7
