Samuel Lumpkin (December 12, 1848 – July 18, 1903)[1] was a justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia from 1891 until his death in 1903.

Member of the Georgia State Senate from 1878 to 1880.

Judge Samuel Lumpkin of the supreme court of Georgia died this morning st 4:30 at the home of his brother-in-law Mr. A. S. Richardson about twelve miles northwest from this place. He died of hemorrhage of the lungs He had been visiting Mr. Richardson about a week, was in his usual health and spent yesterday at a fishery down on Dry Fork creek. His attack and death were unexpected. He had been suffering for the past two years from rheumatism though not seriously. The funeral of Judge Lumpkin will take place Monday at the Lumpkin family burying ground near Lexington in Oglethorpe county.[1]

Lumpkin died in Wilkes County, Georgia, at the age of 54.
