Patty Krawec is an indigenous author and activist from Lac Seul First Nation.[1] She is of Anishinaabe descent through her father and Ukranian and German descent through her mother. Krawec grew up with her mother, and didn't connect with her father and Ojibwe roots until her late 20s.[1]

Krawec is the co-host of the podcast Medicine for Resistance. She is also a board member for the website Pay Your Rent which advocates for settlers living on Turtle Island to pay back Indigenous people for living on occupied land.[2] In 2023, Krawec published her first book Becoming Kin: An Indigenous Call to Unforgetting the Past and Reimagining Our Future in which she outline the importance of acknowledging harmful histories in order to pave the path for a better future.[3]
